ABOUT ME
I help brands make films and content. I think stuff should get better as it gets made.
I’ve worked at ad agencies like 72 and Sunny in LA, Goodby Silverstein in San Francisco, Droga5 in New York, and Wieden + Kennedy in Portland. I started out at Leo Burnett, in Chicago.
I’ve done Super Bowl commercials for Frito Lay and Pepsi. I’ve made campaigns for Liberty Mutual, Miller High Life, and The New York Times. I sincerely love people and enjoy leading big productions, but I’m not afraid to get hands-on when shooting with a skeleton crew.
Films I’ve made have appeared on PBS, NPR, Creative Arts, and in The New York Times. Ads I’ve made have been honored at D&AD, AICP, and the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Film Craft.
OTHER THINGS
I shoot my own documentary shorts and I made a feature documentary called Chasing Bubbles.
I lived on a sailboat called DISCO, about which I kept a blog.
I love funky old cars. I restored and drive this Volvo 240.
I’m originally from Chicago and currently live with my family in Oakland, CA.
